I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to find the track up the mountain but it turned out to be a rough, but easy to see, 4WD track. A TV crew was going up it by 4WD but we beat them up, walking is faster. You get pretty good views as you climb, especially for such a small peak. There's a rickety structure at the top - kind of like a treehouse/bird hide, that you can climb up on to see over the trees. Park off Franklins road and walk from there. It took us (me and some of my family) an hour and 11 minutes.
