More peakbagging in the Danskins, this time starting up Bender Peak and doing the ridge walk all the way out to what I optimistically thought was Indian Peak, but is actually an unnamed summit with only minor prominence. It turns out Indian Peak is a half mile further than I thought, otherwise I'd have nabbed three ranked summits in one day. It is a nice ridge walk nonetheless, with some fun-looking rock formations, but the Hutton/Fiddler Benchmark ridge line is much more interesting. The dirt bikers are have ended their winter hibernation and are starting to get back out, which interrupted the otherwise peaceful day. I saw a gray-furred fox on the way down and plenty of elk and deer again. For looking so dry dead in the summer these mountains sure have a lot of life in the spring.
