"1. Part of Skyline Traverse with Amit
2. 2nd peak in the Boulder Skyline Traverse with Amit. Nice view of the divide. Ate some pbj for our 2nd breakfast at 8:50am.
3. Part of Skyline Traverse with Amit
4. 4th peak in Boulder Skyline Traverse. Hard to discern the true peak, but we tagged multiple high points for confidence.
(5. A fifth unlogged peak was Sanitas Mountaineer Top on the Peakbagger Database)" — benyboy • Jun 6, 2023
"This mountain can be summited several ways. From trails that start down in Boulder, several parking areas along Flafstaff Rd or a super easy loop which starts near the summit at the Ute trail. Warm day, heavy smoke, lots of wild flowers. " — Mtstalker • Aug 30, 2021
"Ran the Virtual Bolder Boulder...decided that since I could choose my own finish line I wanted one with a view. Hit up the Flagstaff Summit and May's Point for some mid-run views, and finished at Crown Rock for a victory scramble." — wazoheat • May 25, 2020
"Went for a birthday hike with Christina. Was still quite snowy on the north side of Green, requiring crampons at times. Plan was to summit a bunch of summits, but only got to 3 due to raptor closures keeping me from East Green and snow kept us from returning via Saddle Rock trail. Still was a nice birthday :)" — wazoheat • Apr 23, 2020
"Had to get creative due to quarantine to get my 43rd ski month in a row. Christina and I drove up Flagstaff Road to the Ute Trail and snow-whacked to the summit from there; 2+ feet of fresh snow made this a non-trivial task. Descended on skis back down towards the summit road; had to take off my skis at the road due to sketchy boulders but for the most part it was a continuous ski descent despite the south-facing route we were forced to take due to running out of sunlight. Only made for a 250-foot ski descent, but I'll take what I can get in this world." — wazoheat • Apr 16, 2020
"Did an interesting loop hike I've been wanting to try for a while. Started at the Viewpoint trailhead and took the shortest route up to the summit, via the Viewpoint trail, Flagstaff trail, Ute trail, and a social trail to the true summit boulder (not trivial to get on top of, could generously call it a V0 problem). Ate lunch on the summit boulder, then regained the Ute trail via another social trail, descending on the Gregory Canyon trail. Since this left us at a different trailhead than we started from, we had to return to the start via a decent re-ascent on the Flagstaff trail and back down the Viewpoint trail.
Was beautiful weather (a little bit of snow on the trail, but the 70˚ temperatures were making short work of it), and had great company (hiked with Christina, John, and Heidi), and it gave us a decent idea of the terribleness that awaits us if we ever try the Boulder Traverse." — wazoheat • Oct 13, 2019
