We repeated a walk from 5 years ago. We were dropped off on Dunmail Raise by a friend. We walked up Raise Beck, past the waterfalls to Grisedale tarn. As last time, the tops were covered in cloud, but it was a reasonable day. We walked round the tarn and up steeply onto Fairfield and into the cloud. We then headed east and then south east, over Hart Crag and Dove Crag, where the mist cleared and the sun appeared. We then went down the long ridge, over High Pike and Low Pike to Scandale and into Ambleside, for a beer in the Golden Rule pub, whilst waiting for our lift.
