September 1, 2023. Day 1 of 3 backpacking. Started from Wallowa Lake TH and hiked in via the Wallowa River West Fork Trail. Set up camp near Mirror Lake and then hiked up to Eagle Cap and then back to my camp spot for the night. Amazing views. Smelled mountain goats, but did not see any sign.
