Second day of the Hotham SOTA gathering. Drove out to Benambra and around to Limestone Road, onto Mount Misery Road and Misery Trail. Drove over the top of Mount Misery and found a spot to park close to Peak 1647 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VG-008. Navigated through the alpine scrub to reach the summit. Set up the radio gear and activated the summit, making 6 contacts. We packed up and headed back to the car. We then drove along Misery Trail to reach the trasck corner close to the summit of Peak 1628 m. Walked to the top and returned to near the car. Set up the radio gear nearby to activate VK3/VG-009, making 12 contacts. We packed up again and headed north, making our way to Davies Plain summit VK3/VE-010. We parked the cars and set up nearby, where I made 4 contacts. We drove back the way we came to Buckwong Track and followed it out to Mount Hope Road and headed back to Benambra, Omeo and back to Hotham.
