Alone. From a point where Allt na h-Uamha crosses road (waterfall). Through young trees and across a new forestry track, and then via Meall Bhàideanach (2 little peaks here) to the three tops of Beinn a’ Chaorainn. The tops were now in mist as it was for most of the day. Continued to Creag Meagaidh (hail storm, wind rising) and on to Cairn to Meall Coire Choille-Rais. A little further SE on a rocky point the mist lifted for a superb view of Loch Laggan. Minutes later I was in mist again. To An Cearcallach. The wind was now very strong - I could hardly stand on the summit rocks. I went back N to Puist Coire Ardair and then Creag Mhor. I also ascended Sron a’ Choire. This was unexpected as it was not shown as a top on the OS map I was using and I was in mist. I found myself going uphill, contrary to the map. Down to road.
