Parked at the electricity substation where there’s room for a couple of cars down a short track from the cattle grid. Dry conditions of late with few midges presented a good opportunity to tackle these pathless marshy hills dryshod. Lots of long grass and heather. Around Sithean Uaine’s summit an effort has been made to regenerate Scots Pine but only a small percentage of saplings have taken, the remainder enjoyed as tasty snacks by the local red deer population. Summit views over the Glen Mhor estate to Skye, Kishorn and the Applecross hills.
