We hiked up to Christmas Gift the day after Christmas. This was 7 years to the day from when the register was left a the peak. We did not come in on the correct road, which led to an interesting drive to get anywhere near the mountain. Road access to this area is not ideal. We ended up parking about 2 miles from the peak, then hiked across the desert & ascended the SW Ridge. The hike wasn't bad at all. We took a nice dirt road back (which turned into Hualapai) back to Hwy 160. That is the best access for anyone coming out this way.
