What a great way to start a public holiday. Starting at the parking lot just past the day pass turn around check point on Chapman's Peak drive, we started up the trail. You can't miss it. With the very gently elevation gain it really is a route for everyone and anyone to enjoy. With Houtbay and the ocean completely covered in a comfy looking mist blanket down below, the views were amazing. The path is very easy to follow with one split about halfway up (left to continue to Noordhoek and right to go up to the peak). The last +-400m is slightly steeper than the rest but still nothing to cause panic. Spending a few minutes at the top with a breakfast sarmie and good company could turn out to be the highlight of the month of May.
Total distance there and back: +-5.5km
