"Hit 6 peaks in one really long day to complete the CT Tower Challenge. Some things to note: 1. The Sleeping Giant tower is not at the summit of Mt Carmel. 2. The short route up East Peak is very steep and should not be attempted unless you are in really good shape. 3. Cunningham Tower is nowhere near the top of Mohawk Mountain. Make sure you look it up first as there is really no trail to the tower as you will need to take the road. " — jonl • Dec 29, 2022

"Hiked in on the blue-blazed trail from the parking lot to the east. To extend my hike a little, I continued on the blue trail past the tower until I got to the yellow connector trail, which took me back to the parking lot. Half-heartedly looked for geocaches but couldn't find any (too many people around)." — ElectroSpecter • Apr 18, 2021
"I am grateful for all the beautiful places to hike in Connecticut. Today I hiked to the Heublien Tower to view the amazing fall colors. It was such a beautiful day to get back in nature.
The trail is rocky at the beginning then pretty easy. I did the loop and the way back at the end was steep, narrowing and rocky. If I did it again I would do out and back not the loop." — ccarmichael01 • Oct 14, 2020
"What better way to wait out a pandemic, than to hike a peak! We spent 2 hrs. hiking through Shenipist State Forest grabbing some Geocaches. Part of the Hike included a 40 minute jaunt up Soapstone Mt., one of the few official mountains on the east side of the Connecticut River in Connecticut. Video from the look out tower on the peak. https://vimeo.com/406632965 " — cv • Apr 11, 2020
