"One of my favorite peaks so far! I love looking out over the water and seeing the mountains on the other side. The trail is pretty steep in some sections. Not many flat areas or ridge walking. " — chloe185 • May 5, 2020
"Another cloudy summit, but had beautiful views as always. We followed the trail from rabbit creak area and it allowed for a pretty easy ridge walk once getting above the treeline. This trip took us 3 hours round trip. " — chloe185 • Apr 23, 2020
"Headed up Sunday morning. Made good time through the low growth. No breeze made the first few miles humid. Low clouds hung around the peak. By the time we arrived you could not see past 60 feet.
Too bad, the views from there are truly worth the climb." — AlaskaHiker • Jul 30, 2017
"Alaska. Visited Beluga Point. First time in bear country, shouted 'hey bear, ho bear' lots of times! Climbed out of the forest to the outlook. After our trip we read in the news that a boy died during a running contest on the mountain a week later because of a black bear attack. We luckily only saw a Ptarmigan bird." — Pieter • Jun 15, 2017
"My second summit of Mt. Magnificent, and the first time I've approached from the east. This approach is definitely the more challenging way to go, in part due to the length of the journey to get there, but also due to the presence of several false summits, and 3+ terrain." — KG • Jul 19, 2015
