Solo. Parked at Hermitage Castle. Along road and up track to Braidliehope (dilapidated house) and sheepfold beyond. Rather rough track continues further, going a little to the east of the summit of Winterlair Hill. Up rough ground to Windy Swire (col between Cauldcleuch Head and Greatmoor Hill) and up Windy Edge to Summit of Cauldcleuch Head. Final bit a bit miry. Descended to sheepfold at NY465999 where I found and followed a path that joins the track on Winterlair Hill. A few drops of drizzle early on and then nice and sunny.
