From parking area to the west under some yew trees. Took a lane SSW, then track across the heath, and short scrambly path up to the quartzite summit plateau. An imposing view of the great Sugar Loaf from here. Return by outward route. With AT and JT. Sunshine and cloud. Increasing NE wind.
