My son and I are going today to the Sierra del Carche natural park, we will follow the route
of the Barbudo Trail, a trekking test that took place a week ago. We went up the west side from the salt company carrying our backpacks with food and sleeping bags to reach the shelter. After a brief lunch we left the backpacks there and descended the peak on the south side until we reached the quarry. From here we climb the Morra de la Mina ridge again until we reach the refuge again, practically at sunset. We arrived exhausted after about nine miles and an accumulated elevation gain of almost five thousand feet. The effort is rewarded by a truly beautiful sunset and sunrise and a night sky full of stars that invite you to dream.
