A quick hike to simply turn this peak's icon green. I'm certain this hike would be more enjoyable in the spring when everything is green; now it's brown which is typical for summertime in the OC. The route to the peak is very steep and loose dirt; once near the top, the trail disappears into the 8 foot high dead growth; I'm 6'1" and I had zero views through the dense "growth". I followed my GPS into the high weeds/sticks until I got to the summit then back down to rejoin the main trail.
