start at the Warwick Preserve area on route 63 in Westmoreland, NH and accend Butterfield hill via the Partridge brook trail to the May-December trail. Take may-December trail to the furthest east point before it starts to curv back around to the Cave loop trail. you will see the mountain rise slightly as you look east, it's a short bushwack walk to the actual summit from that spot (in the photo) The summit is partially open with views of the town of Westmoreland below and hill sides further east. it's a nice place to stop and meditate. Head back to the trail going west, once back on the May-December trail you will connect to the cave loop trail which is very interesting as you loop down and around the lower summit of the mountain. This is a very unique hike.
