This hike is so beautiful. I've done it twice--once alone and once with my 14-year old daughter. It ascends to a series of rocky summits named after songs in Wagnerian operas (I kid you not--"The Hall of the Mountain King"?) My daughter and I camped out on the mountaintop. There's no water on the summit, but it does rain a lot. This area is one of the highlights along the Standing Stone Trail.
