Left from the Green Lakes trailhead. Once at the lakes the trail cuts cross country to a saddle on the Northwest ridge. Whoever first cut that trail had never heard of switchbacks. It was a direct, grueling, and awesome ascent to the saddle and a final approach straight up the narrow ridge. a short class 4-5 pitch at the end brought us to the summit for some spectacular, albeit smokey, views.
