Followed the Ferrier Trail up over Lick Mountain and continued winding up Broad Mountain. The trail had several blowdowns, but easy enough to follow and not very technical nor difficult nor scenic. However, Lick Run Trail that completed the loop was totally overgrown and difficult, sometimes painful to follow. Most of my hike back was in the rocky, dry streambed (Lick Run). Not to mention, I was barked at by coyotes. Unsettling to say the least. I've seen countless bears, snakes, a few bobcats, and unsavory humans, but never have I been scolded by a pack of coyotes. Long story short, do this one in the winter.
