What a fun day! Started early to beat the heat. Hiked Boxcar Cove Road for a while, then cross-country to Black Island Highpoint. That was hellish, crossing a lot of land that was once under water. From there, we took a better way back to Boxcar Rock, which wasn't; much of anything, but the area was beautiful. Many people drove past the 'road closed' signs. It started getting quite warm on the hike out.
