With my children Katherine and Jonathan. From Linn of Dee car park via Glen Lui and Glen Luibeg to the summit of Sron Riach. We passed very near the summit of Stob Coire Sputan Dearg† to reach the summit of Ben Macdui. Return was by the same route except that Stob Coire Sputan Dearg and the actual summit of Sron Riach were omitted. It was mild in the glens but there was a biting wind and slight snow higher up. Calm on summit with good views all round. Not much snow for the time of year.
†Subsequent visit showed that the summit of Stob Coire Sputan Dearg had been reached.
