Another day trip from Wodonga. Drove to Koetong and headed north to reach just below the summit of Peak 811 m, a.k.a. VK3/VE-262. Walked to the high point - thick pines, part of a HVP plantation. Note that an entry permit is required to enter the plantation. I returned to near the car to set up to activate the summit, making 15 contacts. packed up and returned to the car, travelled around to the east side of Ben Lomond to park. I then climbed up to the summit and set up to activate VK3/VE-259, making 5 contacts. I packed up, returned to the car and headed back to Wodonga.
