8/13/23: LWW drove us to the Shoe Basin Mine/Argentine Pass TH. At 1.5mi and 12,200 we started off-trail up the nose of Argentine’s west slope ridge (steep but easy travel) as the grade leveled out for the second half. Somewhat menacing clouds were coming off G&T at regular intervals and it was an abyss of forming clouds below us on the east side of the Divide so we made the break minimal and headed south towards Decatur.
