I had wanted to get up this one for awhile. Drove out bumpy Mormon Well Road about 9 miles to a parking area on the left & started up. I had expected this one to be pretty easy, but it was harder than I thought, mainly because the entire steep climb consists of rough, loose scree & talus. It gains 2500 feet in just about 2 miles, so it is steep! Flowers were in bloom. Most of the climb is up the east facing slope, so it was pretty warm in the morning. There was a very cold wind at the top. I found 2 ticks on me during the hike. This would be a good loop with Lost Yucca.
