"From the car park to the south, straightforward 90 minute walk there and back. Muddy in places and steep through the woods, but good path. Lots of families out. Poor visibility, unfortunately, only 30 yards on the misty top. Will have to return for the desired views over the black mountains." — vygodski • Jan 1, 2020

"We spent the morning meandering through Abergavenny, then hiked via Ysgyryd Fawr and some very, very muddy fields to Llanthony, where we spent the night in a 12th Century priory. Detained by Abergavenny's charms and chronically underestimating how long it would take to get to Llanthony, we ended up walking the last few miles in the dark on the road, rather than along the Offa's Dyke path as originally planned. Nevertheless an enjoyable day of walking (27km in total.)" — isabellehatfield • Nov 17, 2012
