Of the 17 members of the Dauin-Valencia traverse party, 8 members joined a climbing party for the Yagumyum Peak ascent with Ricardo Rodriguez III as guide. The ascent commenced in the morning from Yagumyum Lake where our party spent the first night of the trek. We utilized the existing trail to the summit that was actually a segment of an alternative trail to Valencia. We reached the summit in a couple of hours.
