"It's been a while since I did one of the 12. Bluebird day even though I didn't start until after 3. Continued on to the main summit for the views in the different directions from the north facing outlook. No summit sign or USGS marker present." — SteveM_StickMan • Apr 10, 2025
"Beautiful day, sans humidity, finally. But no blueberries to pick. I guess the extreme heat and lack of rain really curbed the wild blueberry crop. Absolutely nothing to pick. The bears must be bummed out. Bird of the day: Eastern Wood-Pewee." — Alohabuffy • Jul 19, 2024
"Nice weather for trip top the Belknaps. There were so many blueberries waiting to be picked on Piper. I think I picked (ate) a peck of berries on Piper. Not so much on Whiteface." — Alohabuffy • Jul 28, 2022
"Climbed Whiteface then backtracked to Piper. The weather was much better than recent days. Very mild and clear. You could see all the peaks up to the Whites from the tops of Whiteface, with especially striking views from the side of Piper." — danielmartin • Jul 19, 2021
"Via Whiteface Mt. Trail. Not a bad hike. Steep to start but easier towards the summit/ridge trail. One false peak with no view. Summit had good views north, south and west. Partly cloudy skies, very windy and cool. Started at 7:59 and 57 degrees. No humidity. Reached the false summit and thought we were done. Moved back to the first clearing, double checked the map and realized that we hadn't reached the summit. Had to circle back to the false peak and continue on. Reached the real summit at 10:00 Departed at 10:13. Finished at 11:15. The mess up added .6 mile to the overall hike.

"Molly and I hiked these three peaks today to rebuild our hiking legs after Covid quarintine. It was a nice day for it. Whiteface first, then Piper, then Belknap. We then ate at Jordan Ice Creamery in Belmont after the hike to begin the Scoops and Loops challenge." — newenglandwarrior • May 31, 2020
"If it weren't for those darn kids talking so much they would've made the correct turn at the intersection the hike would've been easy-peasy. In the end they were only 'lost' for 5 minutes. " — hiking4000 • May 6, 2020
"Great day out in the Belknap range, still some snow and ice hanging on up there but most of it felt like spring conditions. Summited Piper twice on the day along with Whiteface and Swett." — kpreston21 • Apr 22, 2018
"Broke trail along Piper-Whiteface Trail to summit of Whiteface. Most of the way it was 6-10" deep fresh powder from the big storm on Jan. 4. In a few sections I had to break through some 2-3 ft. drifts. I would definitely still recommend snowshoes for the next couple hikes to really pack down the trail." — HikeLikeMike • Jan 7, 2018
"Short afternoon hike in the Belknaps to get some exercise and chip away at the Belknap Patch since I couldn't make it to the Whites this weekend. Great hike and bumped into two porcupines....a little excitement on the trail!" — shay-shay • May 13, 2017
