"Starting out from Postbridge and following the path up the east side of the East Dart River taking in Hartland Tor first with several newly born calf laying around and then following the bridleway all the way to the Grey Wethers stone circles before lunching on Sittaford Tor. Then tackling White Ridge and Assycombe Hill before returning via Merripit Hill and the road back to Postbridge. 15.8km. Sunny. Solo. " — MuchMoorWalking • May 14, 2022
"This could hardly be described as an exhilarating or uplifting experience on White Ridge. Sure the views are nice but the summit is featureless, baron, boggy and very uninviting, I seriously would not even attempt this in the rain or cold, it was take demoralising to a whole new level. I started the circuit in Fernworthy and walked out through a gate on to the High Moor and directly on to White Ridge. You have got to be dedicated to take this one on. " — Evie-and-Me • Jan 2, 2019
"Continuation of hike from Assycombe Hill. I followed the boggy track along the forest edge, crossing a stream entering the forest. Then up through tussock grass to the very flat boggy plateau. Descent was by a gate into the Fernworthy Forest, then by forest tracks to the lane, and thus back to the car park. Grey and cloudy, with a shower as I descended. The sun, typically, broke through as I reached the car." — marktrengove2 • May 1, 2017
