"Hiked up to Red Pine Lake than onto the ridge and scrambled up to the top than came down the face of White Baldy through all the boulders back to Red Pine

"Very sketchy and bumpy dirt/gravel road winds up the mountain side from HWY-144 to get to the trailhead. It is heavily used just not an amazing road. The trail is well defined and good until you get to upper silver lake, which it then disappears. The ridge scramble is one of the hardest and most tiring “main” summit route scrambles that I’ve ever done. The mailbox on the summit of white badly is missing a pen, and I didn’t have one to leave! The silver lake is very beautiful and lots of people camping out!" — easton • Jul 19, 2024

"Ran up Red Pine. Climbed Pfeifferhorn, then reversed course and climbed White Baldy from the west ridge. Wet, slick granite, and powdery lichen made this scramble far more strenuous than its rating generally allows for. " — Hardman • Jul 12, 2013
"Overnighted just below White Pine lake. We slept in and were on the trail by 8:30. Summitted at 10:30am. Cole and Taylor did awesome. From the lake to the ridge was difficult and a little dangerous with loose rock. We got to cross a snow field which was fun for the boys. I had them roped to me once we were on the steep ramp to the ridge. When we got to the ridge Cole was so annoyed with the rope that he decided to stop and wait for us to summit and come back. Once we started to move he didn't like the idea of being left out. He summitted with us! Fun trip!" — darinwilson • Jul 28, 2012
