11.24.19~Solo~Copper Mtn, Copper Mtn West, Copper Mtn So., Black Mtn 3.5 peak trek. Part one was 6.5 miles, 2,200’ gain in 4:39. Part 2 (Black Mtn) was 1.3 miles, 700’ Gain in 1:04hrs. It was fun to sky surf on the serrated ridges and adventure on these spectacular rugged mtns.
These Peaks are near Searchlight, NV and LMNRA with grand views of the Colorado River Valley and Lake Mohave. This is an old mining area and I found 2 mine markers and dismantled them. Birds get trapped inside the hollow tubes. Dead birds spilled out of the bottom of one of them :@( I had to climb a little extra credit to do this but at least no more birds will die.
Beautiful day....These peaks are not climbed very often and there is a lot of solitude out here. A little too much. I Was a bit lonely.
