"As far as I can determine, Weed Patch Hill is the 3rd highest named highpoint in Indiana, as well as the Brown County HP. It is located within in Brown County State Park and my son, Marshall, and I had to pay a nonresident fee of $7.00 to enter the Park, even though it was very late in the day. Indiana residents only have to pay $5. Just as you enter the Park you will pass through a historic covered bridge. Weed Patch Hill is located beside the Park office where you will find a tall summit tower. The summit tower is fenced and is not always accessible for visitors. This was the case when we visited. In addition, the summit benchmark is located directly beneath the tower, so we were unable to see it well also. The actual highest point seemed to be a few dozen feet behind the tower to the west. Without being able to climb the tower, there really wasn't any view possible from the summit and that was disappointing, but this seemed like a fine state park and worth a longer visit if you have the time." — Stewy • Nov 8, 2014
"This sits inside a State Park and has a $7 fee for non-residents. Although the fee, the park has plenty to do outside the high point. There are 3 areas all pretty close. The highest in my opinion is behind the tower." — marshallstewart • Nov 8, 2014
"Me and my friends all live in Indiana so we frequently visit Brown County for camping trips. I've also camped as a scout in Brown County several times. Weed Patch Hill is very cool and i Definitely recommend climbing the tower." — jacobsnemis • Jul 21, 2010
