Parked at the Mexican Canyon Trailhead parking lot, and took the Mexican Canyon Trail, which is only marked as "Service Road - Do Not Enter" (no vehicles). It's about 1 1/2 mile to the closest proximity to the summit, before you have to bushwhack the rest of the way. There is a herd of bighorn sheep that are often in the area, so keep your camera ready.
