"I had been part of the way here before to check out a plane crash in Wallace Canyon that has since been removed. We started at the Upper Bristlecone Trailhead and followed that trail to the lesser 'No-Name Trail'. I was planning to veer off of that trail and go cross-country to the saddle at the top of Wallace Canyon, but to my surprise, I saw another faint path leading in the correct direction right where I was planning to turn. We followed it and it went right up to the saddle! From there, we side-hilled our way around to the overlook, occasionally finding faint game trails to follow. The overlook isn't obvious until you get there, but those views are fantastic! We took roughly the same way back." — Kevin • Aug 3, 2019

I passed a small group heading to the plane crash site on the way up No-name. When they got to the crash site & didn't see me, they started yelling to see if I was lost...lol. I could hear them all the way over on the point. Little did they know, I've hiked Wallace Canyon extensively & could never possibly get lost there, but it was cute that they were concerned. From the crash site, I had headed a bit blindly toward the point. You can't really see it through the woods. Made it up & there was a tiny scramble up to the highest rocky point. The views were very nice & definitely unique, especially of Charlie & Clinton & Reagan Peaks. Also had nice views of Amargosa Overlook. Hiked out to the end of the ridge from the high point, then came back a slightly higher route than I had taken out. The higher route was better, with less elevation loss in s..." — StudioHoodoo • Sep 2, 2018
