"Ski summit, used crampons for final stretch. 3rd attempt finally got the top! The last 2 attempts I encountered the same issue - the cornice had de-laminated from the summit ridge and created a 1-2 foot wide moat/crevasse, which was covered in thin windslab. Was extremely delicate to navigate and thus why I turned back both times. This time, the moat wasn't there, and it was a simple walk/scramble to the summit (although exposed). Ski quality was quite good on the way down until lower in the gully where it was tracked out and skied like a resort. Weather was super blah - not nearly as nice as advertised. -18c at the summit, with no wind it was bearable. " — jakefinnan • Feb 14, 2021
"Absolutely sweet summit ridge, sunshine -5C, incredible views to Assiniboine, Valley of Ten Peaks, Goodsirs and the Bugaboos! And almost waist deep powder at times on the descent through the trees - simply wicked!

"Funny thing happen. First break for a snack I take my gear off as I'm looking up the trail at some people ahead my bear spray goes off for half a second (the safety fell off somewhere along the way). My thumb and index finger get covered but all is fine. I tell my self don't touch your face and that lasted ten minutes I wiped the sweet off my brow and I say oh no. My face burned for about twenty minutes and then I put my gloves on so that wouldn't happen again. I now have more trust in the bear spray and its power. On a side note the ridge seemed to have many options to scramble/climb up but the farther right or south you go the easier it is to get on the ridge." — Randy • Jul 11, 2015
"Very enjoyable outing, in winter/early spring recommended for experienced scramblers only. The summit ridge is heavily corniced on one side and exposed on the other. No room for an error. " — Taras • Apr 19, 2014
