"Great day to hike a low elevation local mountain. High cloud and about 1-2 degrees . There was no snow on the trail as snow line was at about 3800 feet. Vedder Ridge is at 3100 ft. Steve and I took the standard route parking our vehicle on the SE side of the mountain. It was a very nice gentle hike up to the ridge top. Very windy at top" — andrewbrintnell1 • Feb 17, 2024
"I started my hike about 3k away from the actual Vedder Mountain Ridge Trailhead (from the bottom of the Vedder forest road) and made my way up to the trailhead. My trip took a bit longer than expected because of a couple detours I took off-trail (Including a beautiful logging clearing on the left side of the trail about 15 minutes up and a nice little lake just before the peak.) It was very cloudy all day and the overcast blocked the views coming up, and when i got to the end of this peak. i explored around for a bit and decided to check out the peak of the mountain." — MierzOutdoors • Sep 8, 2015
