"The near-blind run across the highway was more exciting than the 370 foot hike into the woods, ha! People mowing their lawns on both sides, a marker on nearly every tree, very odd high point. " — kellieirene • Sep 9, 2023
"Can't quite call this a "hike"... was in Mass for work and had a free morning, so figured it'd make the hour drive just to knock out this US States High Pointer. Pretty simple to find; just pull over off the highway, and follow the trail to the spot. Plenty of trail signs to mark the way." — marc • Jan 28, 2023
"Stopped by on my way back to Texas after visiting family and friends in the Northeast just to see how many entries there were in the logbook over the July 4th weekend. Looks like at least 20 people signed in. Decided to count steps from the trailhead sign to the summit boulder and came up with about 315." — StoneMan • Jul 4, 2022
"Parked on side of the road and walked a couple minutes down the trail passing two geodetic survey markers along the way to a small clearing. Stood on the rock for a pic, signed the register, back to the car, mission complete." — jodola • Oct 6, 2021
"As part of a 16 or 17 state highpoint blitz of the Northeast this August while working remotely 8 hrs a day from various Starbucks.
Wrapped up the work day at 5pm and so thought I could do the drive 1.5 hr to Mt Frissell and get it done. Drove onwards to Rhode Island and Jerimoth Hill. Arrived after 11pm do a dark hill. Notes said across the road. I headlamped it and found a wide flat trail covered in needles. Moon was out but rain threatening. Walked the 2 min? to the summit and returned to the car to turn west (yeah!) and begin the journey to Mt Greylock." — alexjoseph • Aug 9, 2019
