I still have some vacation quota to spend, so I took a day off - to wake up much earlier than usual. Morning walk to jump on REX from Bratislava, Nové Mesto to Wien, Meindling, then Regional Zug to Payerbach - Reichenau, and finally bus to Weichtalhaus. Just under 4 hours of travel, and I'm here, in autumn mountain paradise, hiking alone up and up and up. Met only 3 other hikers, plus 2 guys from staff at Fisherhutte. Descent through Schonleitenschneide and Stadelwandgraben was quite fast, but interesting too. It's a shame that season is over, looking forward for some winter skitour around Schneeberg too.
