"After a late on a beautiful June evening.lunch/early dinner Yung-Han, Elham, and I decided to hike to the summit of Tunnel Mountain from downtown Banff. A quick 6km round trip." — jak5280 • Jun 22, 2023
"Unfortunately I lost all the original picture files for this trip and the ones I salvaged from facebook are too small to upload here :( . Did this hike with the kids. Certainly one of if not the most easiest peak in the rockies. " — Slogenstein • Jun 2, 2018
"Climbed Ballista 10c last night after work. Fun technical slab climbing that never feels too desperate. Exciting finish by climbing the last pitch by headlamp, good for the headspace I suppose :)" — Nolan • Aug 17, 2017
"A short, scenic trail up a mountain right inside Banff, with nice views of the town and surrounding mountains. Overall rating 6/10, a nice short hike with a convenient location" — MountainQuest • Aug 4, 2016
"Between rain falls I hiked up. Went to north end then to south end sat under a tree while it rained again. Had views of the golf course and people floating the river to canmore. After returning I was just getting warmed up so I went for a trail run in Canmore." — Randy • Sep 13, 2015
"Beautiful morning, we elected to do Gooseberry instead of Cory's Groove. 7 pitch 5.8 mixed route was something I'd wanted to do for a while. 5C as we hit Banff at 7am. 8C in parking lot and 5 min walk we were at the base by 8am. Sun just beginning to warm the rock it was super warm and no one around until we were on pitch 4. Great route with nice pitches 5 and 6. Walked to the summit and back to the car. Headed for Grassi Lake for some more climbing after then to VIMFF in Bragg Creek." — alexjoseph • Sep 12, 2015
"Third trail run of the day second summit. Morning run in the rain at Canmore Nordic centre 11.5 KM then Stoney squaw mountain 4.9 Km loop. Finish with Tunnel mountain 4.6 KM and matched my PB 10 seconds faster on round trip." — Randy • Jun 21, 2015
"A serious undertaking for serious scramblers who are serious about maintaining their mountaineering image. This is not a summit to be taken lightly. Numerous memorial stones on the north slope are testimony to just how many folks have died.....laughing......on this major peak. That being the case one ought not to be deterred by any of the following obstacles: hordes of Asians with selfie sticks, hordes of visitors from the Banff Centre with name tags such as "Hello my name is Sam" and of course old folks with white hair wearing house shoes with no soles :-)" — Mountainman • Apr 5, 2015
"A quick trip to build up my peak count. Very busy, with the trail head parking lot over full. A solo trip, about 38m up and about the same down as it was just after noon and getting warm and I still wanted to go to Stoney Squaw. Elevation gain for the peak 260m, YTD elevation gain 42484m." — MtnJohn • Aug 20, 2012
"Our third peak for the day, a tough one for Kati! Trail was very icy near the bottom and a few other sections along the way. Not as icy as expected after the first 100m or so. On the way down we came across deer on the path... they were looking for handouts, just like birds do. For a small peak, the views are quite nice. Elevation gain for the trip 240m, YTD elevation gain 8918m." — MtnJohn • Feb 12, 2012
