"Ascent from Bancal Trace along El Tucuche main road, track to a sub ridge on the Eastern flank then up through the forest to the summit. Stunning forest, single track for 4 km of the hike. The day was wet and windy and cold for the Caribbean. Steep climb at the end. " — chriskelshall • Jan 18, 2020
"Ascended from Aripo village. Route started in the heights of Aripo near the Humming Bird Sancturary. A series of trails tha link together passing the trails to Big Cave and little Cave took ascended a series of steps through a cliff system ( barely seen in the thick forest ) to the main dividing ridge between Gunapo and Aripo (North South). The vegetation changed to upper montanne and the clouds rolled through as we came to the summit. A Trinidad and Tobago flag and a Surveyors stone were at the top. " — chriskelshall • Oct 28, 2017
"Hobal Trace to the summit. Steep start on pitched road 40% gradient along a sub ridge. The incredible tropical rainfall mixed with thunder over head made the ascent of Devils staircase intense. Arrived at the summit to celebrate Glenn Wilkes 75th Bday with a cake on a windy and cloud shrouded mountain. Phenomenal experience. Descent in the rain required careful movements. Extremely slippery. " — chriskelshall • Sep 30, 2017
"Beautiful ascent of Cerro Del Aripo from Lalaja for Glenns Birthday celebration. 2:15 mins up and 2:10 mins down. Nice consistent pace with no stops on the way up or down. Did celebrate with a b'day cake at the top. Cerro was mountain one of two that day. We then went on to El Tucuche and ascended from Hobal Trace. " — chriskelshall • Sep 30, 2017
"Ascended from Brasso Seco Paria village. Started at 6:30am from the church up to La Laja pass onto the Northern Range main ridge. East to the summit. Recent storms meant the trail had to be reopened in certain areas. Stunning views and excellent weather. " — chriskelshall • Jul 30, 2017
