"Overnight trip out of Leavitt Meadow. Lots of action on this one: fun class 2/3 climb in the chute, but especially along the ridge leading up to it. Played a minor role in a rescue of an injured backpacker. Marmots chewed through both shoulder straps of my pack overnight at Tower Lake, and were halfway through the waist belt (!). Packed out a bunch of abandoned gear including a 100m climbing rope." — klotito • Aug 8, 2021
"Stupidly long approach of out Leavitt Meadow. Hiked in fifteen miles to Tower Lake on Saturday. Summited and hiked out Sunday. The class 3 section in the "staircase" chute is very easy and just barely class 3. Very enjoyable summit area with sweeping views of the entire Yosemite wilderness." — edg • Oct 20, 2019

"Tower peak was a 12 hour round trip hike from camp to camp. The approach is a little boring (and very long) but overall it is a beautiful place and was one of my favorite climbs. Easy Class 3 scramble on west ridge, amazing summit views." — danielclarke • Sep 15, 2012
