Due to the poor weather on wet side of the mountains, I headed over the pass. The weather here is almost always better, and today was no exception. It started out cloudy, but at least it wasn't raining. I headed up the Domerie Divide trail up to the ridge. There were a few snow patches but nothing big until the top of the ridge. The top has several feet, but it was consolidated and easy to walk on.

At the ridge, I headed left to Thomas Mountain. This was a pleasant, almost level walk most of the way. The ridge was in the clouds, so there was nothing to see. As I sat on Thomas eating a snack, the clouds began to lift, and the sun peeked out.

I headed North toward French Cabin Mountain, but soon it was obvious that I wouldn't have time for that, so I descended into the valley and followed trail 1315 back to the car. Trail 1315 is completely buried in several feet of snow above about 3300 ft. There were all kinds of different flowers below snow line.

Microspikes worked well in the snow. Snow shoes are not needed. It's all consolidated. I didn't see anyone on the whole trip.
