"Brother Dean joined me for this quick hike before the predicted aftetnoon rains. Temps in the low 40s and cloudy. Trail in good condition but for a few easily skirted muddy areas. Summited in 32 minutes. Nices views of Lake George. " — garyogden • Apr 19, 2024

"Spectacular day for a Labor Day hike. Haven’t been up The Pinnacle in a while and it was a bluebird day and beautiful weather. Wyndham enjoyed getting his feet dirty at the summit and some snacks. It also must have been fate running into MaKayla Stack and Donny Stack on the trail as it was six years ago to the day meeting them on the Seward Range. Enjoyed a delicious post hike ice cream cone at Martha’s! " — scottturner • Sep 4, 2023

"Started out bare booted, found it snowy with ice in areas walked through some mud. On top was very muddy. Put cleats on to go down to keep from slipping on the icy areas. Nice mile hike." — sarahlaustrup • Feb 18, 2023

"Went up to the Pinnacle on Sept 25,2021 also on Oct 6, 2021 you can see in the pictures the difference in the in the photos. Always a beautiful view at the top. Also did Bradley's Lookout It is just to the right as you start up. It is short so you can do both in one day. They are both great trails." — sarahlaustrup • Apr 7, 2022

"It got darker than planned quick. The trail markers are not easy to see, we tied orange ribbons on trees as we went up and they were extremely helpful on the way down. We took them off the trees on the way down. Very scary bc there were no other cars when we got there and none when we got back, but yet we heard talking and coughing in the woods not far from us so we practically ran down!! Wont be doing that in the dark again!!" — katrinamonroe • Oct 8, 2021

"Uncertain weather forecasts this weekend due to Hurricane/Tropical Storm Henri, but it ended up being a beautiful one at that. This morning blue bird skies were to be had on a lesser known trail that I don’t always like to divulge the exact spot of to keep it more private. It provides some spectacular views overlooking Lake George and The Sagamore. Post hike kayaking on Lake George didn’t last too long due to unsettled and choppy waters but the Minne Ha Ha gave us a pass by and toot of the whistle. " — scottturner • Aug 22, 2021

"Actually not far from The Pinnacle. Another solo hike today, keeping it local and smaller just to keep sane and stretching the legs. Again not another soul to be found and in solitude. I’ve hiked this little unknown trail many times, never to see another person on it. I’m calling it Scott’s Trail.
Be well, be safe. We are all in this together. " — scottturner • Mar 22, 2020

"The Pinnacle

10:56a My friend, Raynebow and I started the hike at 10:44a this morning and the start of the trail was extremely steep and the path is windy but about a third of the way up we found a bench on the side of the trail so we decided to stop and take a break.
11:16a We reached the top and found another bench, the third on the trail. It’s not windy or cold and the view is breathtakingly beautiful. Raynebow keeps taking photos because it is so beautiful. It's great to just hear her camera click every few seconds because of it. We are right next to the Sagamore and can see across Lake George to the Knapp Estate. We can also see almost all of the way down to the village at the end of the lake. When we arrived on top of the mountain we found a little snowman, half melted, enjoying the view to the side. Beautiful view.
12:04p We made our way back down to the car after almost getting lost on the way down. I slipped and fell near the top which cut open my knee but didn’t rip my pants. OUCH! Overall a good hike on what turned out to be a beautiful day." — devenmosher24 • Dec 9, 2018
