"Got to just below the block of rock in very poor weather. Didn't know about the threading-the-needle business, so the top seemed inaccessible. Got to the hole in the rock, but not sure I would have gone through if I'd known it was possible. " — vygodski • May 24, 2017

"Having not climbed to the top of the rock on The Cobbler, I am bagging this as an alternative for I spent a long time scrambling over the various high points on this peak - mainly looking (unsuccessfully) for the path down the south east ridge. Terrible visibility. Walking partner petrified." — vygodski • May 24, 2017

"Tough slog up through the forest, then a nice pleasant hike up to the foot of the rock. Two ways up, carry on round to the right and take the path up the back or, live on the wild side and go straight up the front. Tricky at some parts but on the whole an enjoyable scramble. The midges were out on force which was a bit or a pain but other than that a very enjoyable day out." — sbirkner • May 30, 2016

"Climbed via Glen Croe, up the spine, the gulley to the north west up from the waterfall on Coire Croe, tough going through deep snow but not too steep. I then thread the needle of Argyll's Eye and had lunch on the north summit before returning via Bealach a Mhaim and back down Coire Croe." — ChrisMac • Apr 30, 2016

"Leading A party from Loch Awe HF Guest House. We left the coach near Butterbridge, going to Glas Bhealach, Beinn Ime (two members of the party made a quick detour to include Beinn Narnain), then Ben Arthur. Most climbed through the hole and on to the final summit point. We descended to near Succoth. It was misty on Beinn Ime." — peter43 • Jul 3, 1986
