"Went for a quick pre-birthday sunset hike to this peak and really enjoyed it. It was roughly 4 miles long, not terribly hard, and had great views of the Mojave from the top. There are plenty of rocks to scramble on top of when you get to the summit, ranging from super easy, to class 4/5 if you feel adventurous. There is also a caved-in mine, and other rock formations of note on the way too and from the peak. Overall, it was a great hike and I'd love to take more people on it. " — alexehagen • Apr 14, 2020
"Stopped over at Mojave National Preserve to begin my vacation week in Vegas. Climbed Teutonia Peak once before when I was a rookie hiker back in the 90's. This would be my second go around. The hike essentially ends at a viewpoint in between two rock blocks. To officially stand on the true peak requires climbing equipment to elevate another 20 feet or so. I was content to say that I was there without making a relatively easy climb into a trip to the hospital. 3 miles R/T with 600' elevation gain." — MikeTeeples • Jun 11, 2017
