The drive in from the Interstate is a little adventure on a rutted dirt road (allow an hour with high clearance vehicle). Not too bad though.
The desert there is pristine and beautiful. Really nice hike with a good climb to the top of the horseshoe-shaped summit plateau, in fact two separated by a lower saddle. A trail follows the outside of the U.
Plan wisely to be out before sunset because of the drive and the possible illegal border-crossing related activities.
