Enjoyed a great loop hike from South Meadows to Marcy Dam, then to Phelps trail to the TR herdpath. The herdpath is ~0.25 miles from the cairn to the summit through semi-steep, fairly open woods. Then we stopped at Indian Falls as we continued our loop back towards Marcy dam via the Lake Arnold trail. Roughly 10.5 miles and 1800' of gain - easy day in the woods.
