"Drove out to Phoenix from Las Vegas for a quick getaway and to hike Superstition Peak with @acekelly. Beautiful hike. Really enjoyed the saguaro cactus and different terrain than I am used to. " — maggielynn • Feb 6, 2023
"Rugged and steep. Less climbing/scrambling than other peaks in the area, but definitely challenging. Must see rock formations all along the trail. Take the fork to the right and keep going a little further down the Ridgeline trail for an even more spectacular view of the needle." — nicnihil • Nov 13, 2022
"Recovering from 3 month medication course so this trip was extra slow. The views were gorgeous and I didn't see another soul. Slipped a few times and got some nice cactus thorns in my arm! " — izbh • Nov 13, 2021
"My first time in the superstitions and it was gorgeous with great weather. Nice scramble for the summit and snow on the surrounding mountains. Had a staring contest for a couple minutes with a fox. " — MatthewWinterberg • Feb 20, 2019
"I began the hike right around 4:50 am from the Carney Springs trailhead. I was alone for the entire hike. I summited around 6:40 and enjoyed the great views of the Phoenix area and all the surrounding mountains. I made good time on the way back, and finished about 8:30 after about a 15-20 minute stay on the summit. It was a challenging hike with the steep sections, and also the ups and downs, but well worth it." — ZachTeich • Jul 14, 2016
"Probably my favorite hike in the Phoenix area so far. Incredible hoodoos near the summit. Went up the wrong canyon past the wave cave.
