I've been looking at this peak for awhile now as something to do that is quick and close to home. I decided to go for it this day partly since a wildfire broke out east of there the night before. I parked along Kings Ranch Rd., just south of the wash that comes from north of the peak. I took the wash for a little ways, then made my way off trail and up some old dirt roads to the summit. At least part or maybe all of this land could be private - I'm not sure.
