"A loop of North Point, Pitching Point, Storm King and Butter Hill from the Bobcat trail TH. After descending Butter Hill to the main PA I headed to the old woods road for a short descent then engaged in a crazy bushwhack as a short cut back to the Bobcat TH. Plenty of water hazards on the whole loop, in some cases the trail was an absolute stream, due to recent heavy rains." — Nimblefoot • Apr 8, 2022
"A quick loop of Butter Hill and Storm King from 9W before the predicted T-storms started to drop rain. Not knowing how fast and hard the rain may kick up I bailed on my main objective of mtn biking Black Rock Forest for a little workout." — Nimblefoot • Jul 8, 2021

"Fast and moderately steep rocky ascent up the west side of Butter Hill, then a nice walk along the ridge to the summit of Storm King Mountain. Beautiful day and beautiful views of the Hudson and surrounding mountains from all sides! Nice, easy descent through a less rocky forest path on the south east side of the mountain." — jessemdooley • Apr 20, 2021
"Nice day to take a break and visit Butter Hill for the month of August then wander over to Storm King mountain since it is so close. Less humid and hot than it has been recently so the views up and down the Hudson were back. Picked up a considerable amount of garbage and removed some blowdowns on my loop of the two peaks." — Nimblefoot • Aug 21, 2018
"Got the wife out on a short hike of Storm King and North Point from the less- used Bobcat trailhead. Nice sunny day to relax at the open view point and enjoy the view up the Hudson River and out to the Cats." — Nimblefoot • Jun 25, 2017
"A very quick romp up to ButterHill and out to Storm King before leaving for Reno Nevada. Beautiful day to enjoy the valley from a high elevation. Sampled the numerous blueberries ripening up, nice and sweet, and witness a small praying mantis crossing the trail." — Nimblefoot • Jul 17, 2015
"After hiking up Popolopen Torne I decided to visit Butter Hill and Storm King since the rain was still holding off. Surprisingly there was still some small patches of lingering snow. Nice views to go with my lunch break." — Nimblefoot • Apr 9, 2015

"Storm king offers great views of the river and surrounding area. I stumbled upon this park looking for bouldering and climbing opportunities. While the climbing opportunities are limited here the hiking is excellent. " — jouv236 • Jul 19, 2014
"Tagged Storm King and Anthonys Nose on a day that started off nice and sunny but later turned cloudy with light snow flurries. Enjoyed the views from both Butter Hill and Storm King." — Nimblefoot • Feb 27, 2014
